Learn About What’s Growing This Season

Right now, Heirloom Oak Farm is focused on healthy, reliable starter plants and seasonal produce, including tomato plants and bell peppers. We’ve chosen varieties that grow well in Virginia—whether you’re planting in containers, raised beds, or backyard gardens.

  • Early Girl “Bush” Tomato is a compact, determinate variety that produces classic, medium-sized red slicing tomatoes earlier in the season than many other types. Its naturally smaller, sturdy growth habit makes it perfect for containers and patio gardens, offering high yields without needing large garden space or heavy staking.

  • A vigorous hybrid tomato known for its strong disease resistance and dependable yields of smooth, round red fruit. CC Red F1 produces flavorful slicing tomatoes that perform well in garden beds or larger containers.

  • A true dwarf cherry tomato variety that grows in a small, compact mound, perfect for patios and windowsills. Tiny Tim produces sweet, bite-sized red tomatoes and thrives beautifully in containers.

  • These compact pepper plants produce small, crisp bell peppers that mature in vibrant shades of red, yellow, or orange. Ideal for containers or raised beds, they’re perfect for snacking, stuffing, or adding fresh crunch to salads.
